HesterMofet Posted September 9, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 9, 2013 Has anyone been to this event at Universal Studios in Orlando? I love horror and this sounds awesome, but I am wondering if it's worth the $$. Thanks!
SKosto Posted September 9, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 9, 2013 I've gone many times. It's a pretty fun event but there are a few drawbacks. If you go Friday or Saturday, you HAVE to get an express pass, if you don't, expect to wait in line for 1-2 hours for a 5 minute house. An express pass runs roughly the price of a ticket. When in the houses, you might get that guy in front of you pointing out all the scares and ruining the experience for the five or so people behind him. The Bill and Ted show is usually really good, its a riff on all of pop culture for the past year. If you have any other questions feel free to ask. HesterMofet Posted September 9, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted September 9, 2013 Thanks! We are going on a Sunday night, so hopefully it will be a little less crowded. I'm looking to hit three houses (Evil Dead, Cabin in the Woods and Walking Dead) and maybe the Bill and Ted Show, so it's good to know it's entertaining. Can you get into the CityWalk area prior to the opening at 6:30? We were thinking of going early for dinner. Thanks again!
dotcomgirl Posted September 9, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 9, 2013 It's a great event and you'll love it. Especially since they are bringing back scarezones (scaring you in the streets and not just in the houses) and the chainsaws! Yes, you can access City Walk at any time. SKosto Posted September 9, 2013 #5 Share Posted September 9, 2013 As said above you can enter city walk anytime, but after a certain time ( not sure the exact time) parking is free. I think the fee prior to that is 10-12 dollars. Id also try to hit as many houses as possible. Check house reviews prior to going to scope out the ones that should be prioritized.
