susiecreamchs Posted September 9, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 9, 2013 We're sailing on Allure in January. We'd like to book a cabana for Labadee in advance. We're not in a suite, but we're D+. Can it be done before we sail, or do we have to wait to talk to the concierge?
DnA2010 Posted September 9, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 9, 2013 We are going on our very first cruise in January and i was able to book cabanas about a month ago maybe?
foxgoodrich Posted September 9, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 9, 2013 We booked a Nellie's Beach cabana on Labadee before our 9/1/13 cruise on Freedom. (just got home last night....sob!:() The cabana was wonderful! Ours was a "beach cabana" as opposed to hillside or over-the-water. We went to Barefoot Beach for the upgraded buffet lunch. I booked it from the Excursions options before the cruise. Go to your reservation online, look under Excursions, Labadee, and keep going down the list of excursions until you find Nellie's Beach Cabana. Ours was $225, and if I remember right it was toward the end of the list of Labadee excursions. If you want a Barefoot Beach cabana, I believe you will need to do that through the Concierge. Hope this helps! Judy

Can it be done before we sail, or do we have to wait to talk to the concierge? I would email the Concierge prior to arrival so that you can be put on a list. The cabanas on Barefoot Beach will be available to Suite Guests and Pinnacle Club Members first. If there are any left, you would then be able to reserve one. Since there are 2 Concierge in the lounge the email addresses are AL_Concierge01@rccl.com AL_Concierge02@rccl.com There is an underscore "_" between AL and Concierge. foxgoodrich Posted September 9, 2013 #5 Share Posted September 9, 2013 Our beach cabana on Nellies beach was the left one, shows in the center of the pic below. Very short walk from cabana to the water! (The cabana on the far left is an over-the-water cabana.)
goldgirl2 Posted September 9, 2013 #6 Share Posted September 9, 2013 Book it through the excursions page on the RCI website or call and book it. Do not email a concierge to be put on a list. Cabana's go quickly! Get one now. You will love it. Best day we had on the cruise. We an over the water cabana and the best cabana boy that took excellent care of us all day! Zigggypup Posted September 9, 2013 #7 Share Posted September 9, 2013 You can book Nellie's now through the website. And if you prefer to be on Barefoot contact the Concierge. If you get a confirmation from the Concierge, then you can cancel Nellie's and get a credit. At least that way you have something to fall back on. If you prefer Nellie's than just book it now and be done with it.

Can it be done before we sail, or do we have to wait to talk to the concierge? It surely can be booked before you sail. We're in Labadee on the Indy in MArch and already have ours booked and paid for. They're quite popular so if you wait until you board, there's a better chance than not that you won't get one. Call up RCI book it over the phone.
susiecreamchs Posted September 9, 2013 Author #9 Share Posted September 9, 2013 Thank you all! We just reserved an over the water cabana at Nellie's Beach. We've had cabanas before but we were in suites so we booked with the concierge. We're excited. We love the cabanas!

mo&fran Posted September 9, 2013 #11 Share Posted September 9, 2013 Cabanas at the Barefoot Beach Club can only be booked by those in GS cabins and above, and you have to go through the Concierge to do so. Gold cards have first dibs on the cabanas on Barefoot Beach. If there are any left over, anyone can rent them. They say D+ has priority, but it looks to me like it is first come, first served. I suppose it depends on the Concierge who gets them. BTW, we have had them both as D and D+ , and the only time we did not was when there were 2 ships in port. Gold cards do have beach access even without a cabana. All others only get access by renting the cabana. never been to Nelllies, so I cannot comment there.
