How early can we arrive in Miami?

We will be getting off one ship in Miami to board the Disney wonder in April. If our ship arrives at 8 and we try to be last off, what is the earliest the waiting area opens for Disney? My understanding is there are disney shows and possibly characters in the waiting area along with the ability to register kids etc. just wondering if we would be better off to have a taxi drive around the block a few times with a 4 year old. :)

If you debark the Glory at say 9/9:30, a similar time for the Wonder (all being good), and although your sailing from Miami, at PC boarding doesn't really start until 10:45/11am and I wouldn't think it would be too different in Miami.

I've never read about shows in the terminal, but the Characters are out and about for some of the time for photo's etc.

You will get assigned a PAT (port arrival time) not an embarkation time.

I no nothing of the dates and how far out it will be etc etc.

I would think you need to find something locally to do to kill a couple of hours as previous cruisers 'Castaway Club' (Silver, Platinum and Gold) get first dibs at early PATS, and Concierge get first boarding, so I would doubt you will be first on.

HTH's and someone that has cruised in this situation will be able to help out more.

If anything I have posted is wrong, then other members please feel free to correct them!

I've only posted as this post has not had any response!

DCL asks that all cruisers be off the ship by 9. About 9:15, they start to gently but firmly direct any stragglers toward the big doors.

They generally open the terminals to incoming guests about 10:30. They SAY they open at 11, but reality is more in the 10:30 range at all ports we've cruised from. If you arrive before that, you'll be standing outside waiting for the doors to open.
