Trying to rent a car

I am looking for advice. All the car rental companies at the cruise terminal say they are out of cars for January 9th. Is it worth my time/ money to take a taxi to and from the airport to rent a car? We are in port 8 am to 10 pm. I have used the busses to get to the beach, is it equally as easy to get to the airport?

Have you tried renting from Amigo Car Rental? They will pick you up at the pier. We have rented twice with them, and had excellent service. They were there to pick us up within a few minutes of the prearranged time.

Thanks for the tip. Amigo was one of the few that answered my emails and the only one to be able to rent me a car!

We have not had the need to rent a car in a few years, but when we did we always used Amigo.

 

I stopped recommending them because someone here said they had a bad experience with an older vehicle.
