crusinpsychRN Posted September 10, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 10, 2013 Insuremytrip. You can evaluate several plans and then decide. Once I only got it for medical as I live so close to port but didn't have any medical insurance.
cruiseco Posted September 10, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 10, 2013 Is there another choice of travelers insurance other than the one carnival offers? has any purchased it somewhere else for less? Thanks for any input you can give us. The "for less" part depends on a number of factors. The cruise line's plan doesn't take age into account when figuring the premium -- 20 or 80, you pay the same. The third-party insurers generally do charge seniors more. Usually, when you get to about 75+ the cruise line plans start looking pretty cost effective IF they cover what you need covered. Guest maddycat Posted September 11, 2013 #5 Share Posted September 11, 2013 We buy our travel insurance through The Trip Insurance Store. Their site is very informative. If we have any questions we call and speak to one of their knowledgeable agents. Lately we have been buying Travel Safe Insurance. It's primary insurance. We buy it with in 21 days of booking our cruise so that pre-existing medical conditions are covered. ***Trip Insurance Store***
