I'm I the Only Person NOT getting the 1-2-3 Package

We booked a TA for this November and have no packages. I think 1/2 our ship have the free drink package. I'm keeping up with the specials but please let me know if you see anything for us.

If you're on a transatlantic then nobody is eligible for Pick Your Perk, so you aren't alone.

I think what the OP may be referring to is when the first 123 Go deal came out in January there were some transatlantics that were included and some people were lucky enough to grab the deal.

Ah, that's true, there were some TAs included in that version of 123 wasn't there. Forgot all about that.

The promotion was offered for our Jan. 2014 NZ cruise, but we weren't eligible because we booked an inside cabin. It wasn't worth the extra $400 pp to upgrade to an oceanview cabin just to get the drink package. We also would've lost our $300 onboard credit because it was an onboard booking.

We chose not to take it, as we had booked early with CC OBC and a cabin upgrade. Not only that, but Celebrity jacked the prcies up a day or two before they offered the 123 perk and we would each have had to pay nearly $400 more and would each have lost our OBC. Yes, this was for a Transatlantic in November. WE drink very little and it really was a no-brainer.

It isn't as if you have a sign around your neck signifying that you don't have the package and everyone is pointing and laughing about it.

Our last cruise on X it was the only one out of the last 4 that didn't include the package. It was a cruise that qualified for one but our rate didn't. The savings could have paid for the package plus more. I bought a bucket of beer for the sail away because I thought that I needed a beer when we set sail. I was charged sales tax and that wiped out any savings. The bucket sat on our cabin and got replenished with ice every day. There were a few happy hours, Captain Club parties and etc where we got drinks for either a discount or free, or we would stop and have a drink if we felt like one, plus having drinks while on land at the ports. At the end of the cruise I had 3 beers left so I packed them and took them home.

We had our drinks but didn't drink as much as we would have with the package. Our bar tab was under $100.

Did we feel left out. Not really because while having the package is a nice perk it isn't always the best bargain or deal and always ended up costing us more than we would have spent.

.:D

I am on a Nov TA and don't have a drink package and have no intention of even trying to get a package, I might well gain weight just from the drinks and I have never been been on a cruise with so many at sea days, and I don't want to gain any weight, so for me it will be black coffee, espresso, and iced tea for me so i can have all the ice cream I want.

Booked our Eclipse cruise so far in advance that when the promo came out - our cabin had increased in price so much that it would have been a wash as we would have had to re-book at the prevailing rate. I will say that our TA was able to get X to pony up an additional OBC to help ease our hurt feelings! :D
