Does anyone know what night the formal night might be? Day 3 is a sea day so thought it may be that night??
It's usually the sea day on the 4 night
Formal nights are never the first or last nights and are almost always on a sea day unless the ship leaves port early. Saturday the 28th seems to fit the bill. Edited by IECalCruiser

  • 11 months later...

Just give the 'formal night' a big flick, just a waste of time, carting around formal clothing just to wear on 1 or 2 nights of a cruise.

Why would a man want to walk/dance that night in "penguin suit", rather be in a nice Hawaiian shirt, slacks, (comfortable clothing, you know what I mean)

There are some that choose to and some that have to. ;)

There are not any formal nights on a 4 night cruise.

There certainly wasn't a formal night on the only 4 night cruise we were on. agree that they don't normally have a formal night on a cruise of that length.

The original post started a year ago--back when the Princess website still included one formal night on 4-day cruises. They changed the policy sometime last fall--before our 4-day cruises on the Ruby in December. It took a while for it to catch up on the FAQs on the Princess website.

And once again, I wish that threads would have an automatic off to keep people from resurrecting them after a certain number of weeks without a reply.

Sigh... Wish I had noticed the original post date.
