IMSAILING Posted September 17, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 17, 2013 Quick question for anyone who has used the insurance offered by Carnival. This is the first time I have purchased insurance - decided it was a good idea as we travel in 19 days and it's hurricane season. We purchased the insurance (and it was a fantastic deal as the cruise was a fantastic deal) and I'm just wondering if there was any paperwork or anything we should have filled out for this prior to arriving at the pier. Sailor's Momma Posted September 17, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 17, 2013 We purchase Carnival's Insurance for every cruise, but are going a different route this time. You don't need to do anything. Do read what it covers and be familiar with it. Happy sailing. ~Sailor's Momma~
PAPERBKWRITER Posted September 17, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 17, 2013 I just keep a copy of my statement from Carnival to prove I have insurance. AND if something happens keep any proof of a claim. Long story short; wife fell in NY pier last year when the power was out broke her hand among other injuries but we never got an accident report (later they had no record and at the time said they couldn't give us one because power was out) Anyway we go nothing. Sailor's Momma Posted September 17, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 17, 2013 I agree with the copy. I printed the whole contract. I'm not sure what this contract will look like for this upcoming cruise since it's a different insurance company. Sorry, to hear about your wife's fall. I hope she's better now. :) ~Sailor's Momma~
