Disney Magic 2.0 begins

Yep, I know. ;) Scott is very good about giving credit to the original source. He does an excellent job of grouping the pictures so the we know exactly what we are looking at, making it easier for many of us to visualize the transformation. :)

Yes he does repackage other original content, from Twitter, Facebook and official Disney videos snd blogs into one place.

I got this link via Facebook via a TA.

It is nice to have it all in one place but does appear to have a heck of a lot of plugs on various boards for a TA.

Honestly, it doesn't matter to most of us where the info comes from. It's not that big of a deal. We just want to know! The Disney Cruise line blog is a wonderful resource for up to date information for those of us looking forward to our next Disney Cruise. Scott seems to put a whole lot of effort into the Blog and I appreciate that. It's nice to have one place anyone can go to, to get info and updates. :)

I agree. I've got his blog bookmarked. And I really appreciate that he gives credit for where he gets his stuff.

I got to say just seen the most funniest of things!!

Disney Cruise line on Facebook quote the cruiseline blog about content from DCL!!!

Yes its nice in one place, and dont get me wrong, as long as *a credit* is given to the sources of the 90% of the information quoted on there thats obtained elsewhere.

I think some may *miss* that its a collation, of other feeds.

My only point is its really plugged a lot.

And here's week 5:

Where's Goofy?!!?!

(spoiler: not to worry, he's fine)

Note the photo near the end of the bulbous bow showing the huge size of the dry dock. Disney Magic seems to fill only half of it.

Check out this image of the dry dock. Look for a car to get an idea of the scale.

That dry dock is huge. I love seeing the Magic with her paint back on... all clean and shiny. :D

TA, do you mean Trip Advisor or Travel Agent by that comment?

I'm pretty sure Scott Sanders is just a professional blogger making money from his blog site from the advertizing and not a Travel Agent? ;)

I thought he is an agent for a very well known TA who I can't be mentioned here, hence the number of cruises he and his wife go on, and also the information he gets. He clearly gets on very well with the other place and their sponsors.

He does have contacts at DCL and says he calls them.

I am sure he is a TA, whilst the blog does clearly get hits and has adverts do will get income, I can't see that income bring enough to live on and cruise DCL on!

He is not a TA, if he was why would they be booking their cruises through one of the more popular agents from the agency that sponsors the other board. A TA would book their own, not let someone else earn the commission.

Back on topic, from a Twitter picture it looks like the Magic has it's life boats back. :D

Ok I understood he was and that's why he does use that big agency. He appears to get favourable treatment on those boards where other sites are ***************** banned.

That doesn't make sense. A TA wouldn't use another agent to book their cruise for them. That's like giving away income by letting another TA earn the commission.

Who knows why he get's what you consider favorable treatment on the "other" board. It's their board and their rules.

Bottom line, it doesn't matter what he does or how he pays for his cruises. That's truly no one's business except his. He has an amazing blog that many DCL cruisers across many boards and FB groups consider a reliable and informative resource. It's very popular and the place that many of us go first for info and updates. :)

Understand and I have always valued your opinion as your normally on the money on observations, so firstly want to make it very clear, respect your opinion.

From Facebook and other connections I took it he was a Agent for that big TA, and that's why he gets favorable treatment there.

As posted many times, it is great to have all the information in one place that is very good. Very helpful.

He does, now, give credit for the source of the information, and I think that is a priority as a lot of the posts contain non original content that is available by Twitter, Facebook, DCL Disney blog etc etc.

Menus etc have come from other peoples posts.

It's on my favorites and look normally once a night at it. The information is accurate.

I will admit two things.

1 I will admit to a slight downer on it for a couple of reasons, his wife last year accused me incorrectly of copying them, that wasn't nice, but on the information she said that on, the information they posted, it came from a friend of mine who consulted me!

It was described as blog wars which was inappropriate, my cruise trip reports are completely different to his site. I have 1% of the info he has.

2 I also felt in the past they did post items of personal nature, where the ships were delayed for people's health reasons, (not the tragic boy one, Chase), but others, I personally felt they were the wrong thing on the wrong site, best left to newspapers and journalists, I thought about the families, how would they feel about thier personal stuff and strife on a travel blog? Stick to cruise info and not personal family stuff.

Lastly they are very good at future cruise potential itineries great detective work, but play down any other people who may have a rumour. ( yes me),

They do check the same things as I do so it's quite likely we get information at the same time and post it same time. However I do have a job so only online for an hour or so, I wouldn't ever say anyones copied me, I would say good luck to anyone who can detect anything as it's getting harder.

I bet if it's not the Baltic next year, I am going to get a lot of bad press. But I have come out over the years with a lot of good predictions.

Anyway *. Respect*

Understood. You've been pretty spot on with your predictions through out the years and I always enjoy reading your thoughts. *Respect* to you too Disney Fantasy. :)

Back on topic, I'm so looking forward to seeing what the re-imagined suite interiors look like on the Magic. :D We will be back in 8532 for 12 nights in May.
