Econom405 Posted September 18, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 18, 2013 I've looked all over Travelocity and also Frommer's as well as Fodor's for ideas for dinner on our arrival night, which also is our anniversary. I always like to ask folks here as there are usually first hand great suggestions! A local gave us a great restaurant in NYC for daughter's birthday, so am sure the same will happen for Miami!! We are staying in the La Flora in SOBE, but will have a rental car. We like just about anything, just want something nice and also yummy.
Langoustine Posted September 18, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 18, 2013 Joe's Stone Crab at 11 Washington Avenue in SOBE. Not sure what your dates are, they're closed until October 15th.

What kind of food and just a heads up, South Beach prices are about what you'd pay in Midtown Manhattan, stupid expensive.. I love YardBird. Southern, soul food. Sushi Samba or Nobu for fantastic sushi Smith & Wollensky for great views and great steak.

Keith1010 Posted September 19, 2013 #6 Share Posted September 19, 2013 I can recommend four restaurants. Truluck's (fantastic seafood) Joe Stone Crab (known for its crab) Capital Grille (great beef but also other items including poultry and seafood) Smith & Wollensky (fantastic views and really good food, but on the pricier side) Keith
BlueHerons Posted September 19, 2013 #7 Share Posted September 19, 2013 Since you said you'll have a car, these are my favorite in all of Miami but they are not in Miami Beach; Michy's Ortanique Micheals Genuine Probably the best Miami Food in Miami and really fantastic dining.
