Aft Cabins on NCL Pride of America...

Crusin' Buckeye

Recommended Posts

We will be staying on an AFT cabin... although we always book a balcony. We have never booked an aft balcony. We would appriciate your opinion both pro and con if you have stayed here before!!

Thank you!!

We are huge fans of aft facing balcony cabins.

We cruised the POA in an aft facing SH on deck 9.

The location and views are terrific.

I would choose decks 7,8,9 aft first.

Deck ten is located below an outdoor dining venue and you may get noise from chairs tables etc.

I did an AFT cabin on the POAm, deck 9, starboard side, great wrap around lanai. I agree with above poster about not getting an AFT deck 10 cabin, noise, the people are right above you at the railing looking on you, and sometimes things come down from deck 11. Like trash and stuff. I found deck 9 AFT to be great.

I have only had good service on the POAm from the crew. However, as with any human, we all have bad moments. I enjoy my time with them, and try to make sure they know we appreciate their service.

Just wanted to ask..Good to hear!! I honestly think some people are only happy if they are complaining... thats why i personnaly dont hang out with them!!

What kills me are the people that think they are "holier than thou" and think the staff needs to get down and kiss their feet daily, feed them off of gold plated spoons and cater to their every need. Frankly it makes me sick! I would hate for people to think this is why my family/friends and I are staying in a suite this coming May. It just seemed to be the better choice for us .. not because we expect the staff to kiss our butts.

We have done this cruise 3 times and b2b so 14 days each and have always booked an aft a year in advance and then sit back and watch the price increase.

We always book stay on deck 9 because you have cabins above and below you, we try for 9202 or 9702 because they do not join.

Beware on the middle of deck 8 aft is where the external gismo sits for washing balconies and salt from windows when not in use.See attached pic.

One of the great thing about this ship is you have the great outdoors cafe to watch the views while you eat breakfast and lunch.

Absolutely no cons, sit out there with no wind and list to the movement from the wake.

Saw you were in the 'Haven" would you recomend it ???

Actually the POA doesn't have a Haven' date=' however we were in a suite and it was great. Norwegian does a really nice job with their suite experiences, even without a Haven.

you were on her right after the refurbishment...how did she look??

She looks great - I didn't see any of the new suites and Moderno wasn't open yet (boo!), but she's a great ship and has a great crew. As the other poster mentioned, a little common courtesy and realistic expectations go a long way.
