cathyz Posted September 20, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 20, 2013 DH and I are planning on taking the BTFT are closed toe shoes required or does it matter. Thanks Yes, closed toed shoes are required (we've been on 2 of them) because of the places you have to walk 'behind the scenes', lots of metal stairs that are very steep, etc. Also, no cameras or cellphones on the tour. Mrs CruisinCritter Posted September 20, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 20, 2013 Make sure the shoes that you take for the tour have good, rubber soles. A woman on our tour in January fell down several times because she wore dress shoes and the galley floor is very slick.
platinum.wannabe Posted September 21, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 21, 2013 Yes, closed toes are required. And you want them to be comfortable - lots of walking and standing! :) It's a really interesting and fun tour, though.
DaisyGirl55 Posted September 21, 2013 #5 Share Posted September 21, 2013 We wore our sneakers and they worked great. The stairs the crew uses are very steep and very narrow! A couple who signed up for the tour was turned away when all they had were flip flops. It is definitely a safety requirement. On another note, we thoroughly enjoyed our tour!
