Junkanoo Beach closed?

My DH and I will be going to Nassau in a couple of weeks and I have been doing some research on where to spend our day. We were planning on taking our own tour of the rum distillery and spending some time at Junkanoo Beach. When looking for information on Junkanoo, I came across a review dated a couple weeks ago that Junkanoo was closed. Has anyone spent some time there within the past couple weeks?

I was there on Sept. 10 and Junkanoo Beach was open. We walked there and laid down our towels and spent most of our time in the crystal clear water. We had a wonderful time.

:confused: Junkanoo is open! There is a review posted on Trip Adviser from yesterday saying it was open and was very clean! Check it out..
