Tonight’s big production show in the Venetian Lounge was ‘Just Rock’. Tracy likes to sit in the balcony section.

Afterward we went to the comedy club to see Chris Wiles.

Overall an enjoyable evening. The show was good and the comedian was funny.

Our tickets for the tour

DSC_0980_zps36275b9e.jpg

As mentioned earlier you cannot buy this excursion in advance; you have to purchase your tickets once onboard. The cost is $95 each. There is a limited number sold. There were two separate groups of approximately 16 people doing the tour. We met in the library at 9:30 am. They had refreshments such as juices and pastries. Security had a hand held metal detector to make sure you were not carrying any electronic device that could take a photograph or video. We had two crew members conducting the tour with security following us for part of the tour, especially in sensitive areas, like the bridge and engine control room.

The first area we visited was behind the stage in the Venetian Lounge. One of the technician explained how everything worked. How the big backdrops and props are used during a show. Then we went into the dressing room where one of the dancers answered all our questions about costume changes, working conditions, etc. Then we went to the crew’s outside deck. It has two Jacuzzi and some deck chairs. It’s either on deck 3 or 4 forward. We had our group photo taken.

The crew members explained to us what this outside deck was used for and answered all our questions.

Next was the main laundry room, they had huge machines that washed towels, linen, table cloths, etc. They also had other smaller machines that wash the guest laundry. They had machines that pressed and folded linen and other machines that folded towels. Next we toured the galley, the engine control room and the store rooms along deck zero’s long corridor known as I-95. We visited the crew’s gym, training room, internet room and dining room where we had more refreshments. Then we went to everyone’s favorite, the bridge, there we met the Captain and his crew. The Captain explained what all the different stations with monitors were used for and answered all our questions. We spent about 20 minutes on the bridge and had our photos taken with Captain Roberto Leotta.

After the bridge we visited the steakhouse. There we received drinks, snacks and parting gifts.

Once back in our cabin there was another treat waiting for us.

This tour lasted 3.5 hours and was well worth the money. Since we could not take photographs I had to rely on memory alone to review this excursion. I may be inaccurate in some details and may have left out some of the places we visited.

As usual the last sea day is when they have the chocolate buffet. Tracy and I decided to check it out. We had a small meal and proceeded to try different desserts.

We did the Behind the Fun tour also. I think it was on the Conquest. We booked our tour as soon as we got on the ship. Like you said, it was well worth the money. Did you get the little carved soaps?

Mikey, can I ask how you're able to upload all of these photos ? Can you do it just via WiFi without it costing a fortune ?

I did the Behind the Fun tour on the Liberty in April and thoroughly enjoyed it! Definitely worth doing!

I always enjoy your reviews. When I went on the Pride for the first time, yours helped a lot. And then when I booked my Freedom trip for my honeymoon in January, I went to see if that was one of the ships you did for the B2B2B2B, and it was! Thanks for all the thorough information. Lovely family! :D

Once you have cruise on Breeze, to me any other Carnival ships will feel like a step down. My goal was to cruise on a different ship each time but now we are more interested in the itineraries.

We booked Breeze it his past February since we wanted to experience that new ship smell. We are now scheduled to be on the Liberty. Looking forward to the ports and have enjoyed all your pictures.

Great Pic! My wife and I have a similar pic. But, I am at the keys...fitting as the piano is my new found hobby (2 yrs playing now). Not only does a piano make great music, but its a great photo op too!

Thank you. :D

Mike as usual another great review, are you planning to go work for the Travel Channel when you retire?

Keep'em comin'!

Thank you, I wouldn't mind the job offer. :D

I am really enjoying this review! The Liberty was our first ever Carnival cruise and I loved it. We're sailing the Breeze again next year and I will definitely book a Behind The Scenes Tour. I have a question and maybe you (or someone else) can answer it....do you know if there's an age limit for the tour? Our son will be 12 years old but I don't know if he'll be able to take the tour if there is a limit.

Anyway, great review!

When I get back from a cruise it takes me a couple of weeks to download and sort the thousands of photos I took. This includes downloading them on photobucket for which I pay an annual membership of about $25 to $30 to handle that many photos.

Thank you, I believe from doing a bit of research that the minimum age is 8. :D

In the afternoon I went to see the ‘Table Artist Magic Seminar’ in the Victoria Lounge. I love magic; Tracy had other plans which consisted of a book and a lot of sunshine.

Carnival Legends was scheduled for 10:15pm and we got there a half hour early, so we could get a front row seat. Carnival Legends is where your fellow guest performs live in the main theater.
