memmi Posted September 29, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 29, 2013 Hi, Can anyone explain the difference between Concierge and Aqua class cabins on the Solstice. We have travelled on her before and had a verandah cabin. Is there any advantage in paying extra for the other cabins? We are considering the Australia/New Zealand cruise in November. Thank you
sevenseasnomad Posted September 29, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 29, 2013 Whether to pay extra to upgrade is a personal decision. Are you trying to double your points in Captain's Club? If so, booking CC or AQ may be sensible. As far as cabin size---sq ft.---there is no difference between these classes. If you go to Celebrity site or have one of their brochures, you can see the perks each class offers. Many on these boards love AQ for the access to Blu & Persian Gardens. AQ has capacity for two, while some CC can accomodate as many as four passengers. Again, it's up to you. Are the perks worth the extra fare? Only you can decide. fredflint Posted September 29, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 29, 2013 here is the link AQ and CC both have perks but it comes down to cost and location for me http://www.celebritycruises.com/onboard/level2.do?pagename=onboard_celebrity_staterooms
CathyCruises Posted September 30, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 30, 2013 I really advocate for standard balcony cabins. I (and many others) don't feel the perks of CC warrant much of a price increase; they sound good but are minimal in reality. Many like the smaller dining room that AQ uses; DH and I didn't really care for it because we love having a large table of new friends to get together with every night, and Blu is almost all tables for 2 unless you come with your own group (all have to be AQ). The only true benefit of either is the extra credit toward Elite status; if that's not significant to you, the a regular balcony is great choice. We have been in AQ, CC, FV, SS; but have now realized that a balcony cabin is perfect for us, midships ideally.
