Recommend a good hotel for the night in ORLANDO that offers a shuttle to the port in Port Canaveral? We get in after 10 pm the night before and just want a place to lay our heads before heading to the port in the morning. Thanks a bunch!!!

It is a 45-60 minute drive from MCO to PC -- instead of trying to find a hotel that will pick you up you that far away and that late at night (odds are none will) you will be better off finding a hotel close to MCO with free airport shuttles.

 

The next morning you can either rent a car one way (MCO to PC) or shuttle back to the airport and catch a shuttle or the cruiseline transfer bus to the port. Good luck! :)

You mention catching a shuttle at the airport, can you tell me how many passengers and how long the wait usually is? Assuming they want to fill it before they drive all the way there.

 

If we were to book the shuttle to pick us up at our hotel (if that's even an option), am I correct in thinking they would go to multiple hotels to pick up others too?

 

I have spoken with executive VIP so am familiar with their services, and see that travelynx and cocoa beach are highly recommended here, but it looks as if they have large (32 passenger) vehicles and I do not want to spend hours driving around, so need to choose wisely. finding a mini-van (shuttle) that we could share with a few would be perfect :)

We booked a package in oct 2012, I believe with the Hampton inn near the Orlando airport. The price included shuttle from the airport and then a shuttle to the cruise terminal the next morning.

 

Might be worth checking to see if they still have that!

cath32 - thx! I checked their site real quick and that special expires next month, so Ill give them a call and see if they will be extending it another year.
