Breeze Deck 6 Balcony?

sml3

Recommended Posts

This is my second time on Carnival but the first on this large of a ship. Currently have a balcony on deck 6 reserved but having second thoughts on location. Is this private enough to not have gawkers from the promenade deck?

I also have a balcony on deck 6 for my upcoming cruise on her next month, I heard that people in the hot tub can see on your balcony, my cabin is away from the hot tub so we will see.

We had a cabin on deck 6 on the Breeze in December. The deck below was never very busy-mainly people walking around it in the mornings.

I had the same concern as you when I found out that you look down on deck 5, but I was quite fine with our location, and the lack of activity from the deck below.

We've had 6501 - the aft wrap - twice and never felt that we couldn't enjoy the balcony because of those on the promenade.

People may be walking by - but rarely are the "hanging out" except when were were docking inNassau. Then there was a larger collection of people - as we backed in. But we still had a great view from our balcony.

We were on deck 9, and looked down quite a bit. I never saw crowds of people, and I never saw anyone looking up. The hot tubs do not get as crowded as the ones on Lido do. The Breeze is an awesome ship, have a great cruise.

My cabin isn't over the hot tub area either. Hopefully it isn't an issue. It's about $300 to upgrade to a higher balcony. Not sure that would be worth it.

Your best bet for the most privacy is far forward or far aft. The promenade sticks out in the middle, but tapers in at the front and back of the ship. If you get a cabin in the front or aft of the ship, you won't be over the "sticking out" part of the promenade.

See the pictures here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showpost.php?p=33670498&postcount=7 to see what I am talking about. The photos were taken from the Lido deck, but it gives you an idea of how the promenade tapers.
