RC gift cards?

Recommended Posts

We are taking our first cruise on the Allure in April with my Bil/Sil and niece/nephew. Since Christmas is before our trip I was thinking of getting gift cards for them to use on our cruise but I can't find if they even exist. Does anyone know?

I know I will be buying Starbucks gifts though as I see they are accepted on board ( score for us because we are huge coffee drinkers)

See this website page and look under "Crusie Vacation Gift Certificates":

http://www.royalcaribbean.com/giftcatalog/landing.do?pagename=gifts_and_gear&cS=NAVBAR&pnav=3&snav=8

It's also easier (no certificate redemption needed) to just call the 800 number shown on that page and purchase on board credit for each person you wish to gift. If you go this route, you will need booking numbers.

Thank you so much for this info. So am I correct in assuming that in order to play at the arcade you have to pay with your sea pass? I know my 12 year old nephew will spend lots of time there.. Can he have his own account or will it be added to our main account? Can u use like visa gift cards? Or does everything need to be done on your sea pass?

Also, can we pre pay for specialty restaurants ahead of time?

Sorry for so many questions. Total newbie and with over 22,000 posts I'm assuming you know a thing or 2 about cruising;)

I'm pretty sure that you can't use a Visa gift card - also one of our friends had a Royal Caribbean gift card and was not able to use it on the cruise - she was told it had to be put against her account before she boarded. I don't know if that is true or not but someone will know - probably Clarea :D

Oh ok.. Good to know.. So I guess you can get the certificate but would need to add it as an OBC? I just wish like each kid could have their own account.. Once you spend it.. That's it.. Lol

Everything you pay for on the ship, with the exception of the casino (cash only) and booking a future cruise (credit card), goes on your SeaPass (on board account) card.

The arcade uses tokens which must be purchased with a SeaPass card. You can put a limit on the child's SeaPass card.
