ANOTHER TRANSATLANTIC question

We are going on the Reflection next April Miami to Rome. The night before Rome we stop in Livorno. Is it possible to get off the ship there instead of Rome? We are heading to Florence for a few days and Livorno is so much closer than Rome so would cut down on travel time. Is this allowed?

It is possible. Met a woman who disembarked in Toulon rather than Rome. She told us that she had to receive the okay from Celebrity. Had to wait quite a while after we docked in Toulon to leave the ship. Call Celebrity to verify what you need to do.

We got off at Key West instead of Ft. Lauderdale one time and we were told all kinds of horror stories. Nothing happened at all. We did explain why we wanted to get off there. I know the OP is asking about Europe but I can't see that it would be any different.

It's much easier to arrange for a downline disembarkation in Europe than in the US. Presumably there aren't Customs and Immigration procedures, since you've already been in the EU. You don't run into the cabotage laws you would deal with in the US. So leave the ship a day early on the European cruises is generally not a problem.

Great idea!. We are also going on this trip and plan to visit Venice and Rome. This would put us closer to Venice, reduce the transfer cost into Rome from the port, and we get better flights from Rome than Venice. A big big win for us.
