sharonax3 Posted October 4, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 4, 2013 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I currently have two rooms booked. Of course the two people that want the cheers program are in 1 of each of the rooms. I know I can go ahead and put both the drinkers in the same room, and we can switch back for sleeping purposes, but how does that work with the room cards and charging priveleges. I am so confused, so if anyone could help, it would be much appreciated. thanks so much !
timhoke Posted October 4, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 4, 2013 Just have everyone set up their own S&S account.

Everyone sets up their own S&S card and go to guest services and get each of them a room key for the other room. Its very simple.

5Hawkeyes Posted October 4, 2013 #5 Share Posted October 4, 2013 That's our game plan. My wife doesn't drink much and we have 3 kids. We put her in one cabin with two kids and me in the other with one of the kids. We'll just get room keys in our situation.

Rowan555 Posted October 4, 2013 #7 Share Posted October 4, 2013 Your s&s card is your room key. Depends on how you do it...We always book me and my daughter in one room and husband and son in the other room. Then we just get two extra key cards from guest services when we board so that the kids can stay in one room and we stay in the other. Two of us have S&S cards which are also our key, and two of us have a separate key card.

Yes, the 2nd S&S card will say right on it, Room Key Only or something like that. We are a family of 5 and always books me in one room and my DH in the other. I was considering the Cheers program for my DH but with 5 ports, I dont think it would be worth it.
CD2013 Posted October 5, 2013 #9 Share Posted October 5, 2013 Hi All, I have the exact same question, but I'm afraid I'm still a little confused... we're cruise newbies, leaving on our first one next week. Our party is 2 rooms, 2 in each room. Only one in each room wants to buy the Cheers program. We've already checked in online, printed boarding passes, etc. Will we need to change the reservation to have the 2 'drinkers' share a room (on paper at least)? And then just sleep wherever we want? Or can we take care of this once on board? Help....

CD2013 Posted October 5, 2013 #11 Share Posted October 5, 2013 We have 1 minor in our party of 4. Our reservation as it stands now is: My sister (who wants the Cheers program) and my minor daughter in room 1. Me (who wants the Cheers program) and my husband (who doesn't) in room 2. Everything is booked and checked in and printed. Should I change the reservation at this late stage (sailing Monday) just for the sake of the paperwork.... (the sleeping/room arrangements will definitely stay as per our original reservation) or can I "change rooms" (just so it looks like the 2 'drinkers' are in the same room) once we're on the ship? Am I making any sense?

Once on board just get extra keys and sleep which ever way works best for the 4 of you. Have a great cruise. Call Carnival and see if the change can be made so close to sailing. Good luck! Am I making any sense? I don't know if you can change it or not. I would call and ask. Don't mention anything about Cheers as the reason and see if they will let you do it. The only way it would work is if you and your sister were booked in the same room and your husband in the room with the minor. If your husband stays in the room with you, both of you will have to purchase Cheers.
