PBNJ620 Posted October 4, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 4, 2013 I was trying to book a private service but am having a bit of trouble finding availability this late in the game. Does RCCL provide a shuttle where they would be able to store a non folding wheelchair?

lggfly Posted October 4, 2013 #3 Share Posted October 4, 2013 We used R&G Transportation back in March for our cruise out of Miami. I think they also do Port Everglades. In any case, they use vans that have enclosed trailers attached. They put the luggage in the trailer. I suspect there would be plenty of room for a wheelchair. DonnaK Posted October 4, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 4, 2013 You want to go from Allure to FLL? Taxis are plentiful, cheap, and very easy. They have minivan taxis readily available - will that hold your luggage and folding wheelchair?

All you had to do was walk out the exit and there was a man directing you to the taxi waiting area and when you got closer they directed you to the cabbie you were to take. There were cars, mini-vans.... There were only 3 in our party and we ended up in a car. This way you have your own ride and do not have to wait for RCI transportation. Grandma Dazzles Posted October 4, 2013 #6 Share Posted October 4, 2013 Taxi is by far the easiest and simplest way to go. If for some reason you prefer a shuttle, they are also parked in the shuttle area and will take passengers who are not "pre-booked." It doesnt really make sense to do that - go with a cab - some of them are vans - plenty of room.

I think the biggest issue is OP said it was a NON-FOLDING wheelchair..if they can grab a mini van by themselves there "might" be room in the back for the wheelchair...but I'm not positive...
