Hope someone can help me. I will be cruising soon with my Kindle Fire. How do I compose emails off line? I know how to use the ships computers and connect and get email. I have the Kindle set up and can get email. Just not sure about how to compose emails to several people off line and then reconnect.

This is a guess. but just turn off your wifi, compose your emails which should be saved to your drafts and send them when you connect to the ship's wifi.

Cruzin is right (at least if you use gmail).

 

Do not activate WiFi. Go to your email (it will tell you you are not connected) and open the Drafts folder. You can then write your email and when you click to send it, it will tell you that you are not connected but that it will be sent as soon as you connect. It then appears in the Outbox folder until you connect.

Great thanks, someone told me I had to compose in Word and then copy and paste to email. I don't have word on my Fire. At least I don't think I do! This sounds simple.

People do that when they are using web-based mail (yahoo, gmail, aol, etc) and it is not necessary when you are using a local device based mail program where you can work off-line.

I used that method last year on the Westerdam, worked perfect. Love that Kindle! Have fun.
