alishac Posted October 8, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 8, 2013 We will be taking our first Disney cruise in January, and I'm really looking forward to eating in Remy. We usually cruise Celebrity and always eat in the specialty restaurants, but Remy seems to be in a class of its own. What is it like to eat there? Are you restricted to one selection from each course, or can you choose extra if you want? We usually like to try a couple of appetizers or share a couple of entrees--is this allowed at Remy? Thanks for the info in advance!
DISNEY FANTASY Posted October 8, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 8, 2013 We will be taking our first Disney cruise in January, and I'm really looking forward to eating in Remy. Remy is a great experience, it costs $75 without drink per person and is a few hour experience. You get two options to choose a set meal that they put together or you can choose your own three dishes. In fact there is another option if you tell them in advance that you like dislike or have an allergy they make up your own personalized menu. Go with what they say, there is far more food that way. There are many extras that are not advertised, The cheese board is to die for. The end of meal candy selection is fantastic post dinner. So there is a restriction if you choose dish by dish, but you can add value to your own menu. I had a personalized menu for Remy Brunch and Dinner as I do not eat fish or seafood, I had a wonderful meal. The Wayu beef was fantastic again I went with the flow, I like steak well done they said do not have it well done have it *this way* and it was fantastic. The Colette cocktail was great. I have a lot of good photos on my blog;- http://fantasyfantasyholiday2012.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/remy-dinner-and-brunch.html I would say its not the normal thing to order a couple of appetizers and share a few main courses, ( you can swap a little between you if you choose different food),I would say discuss with your server, maybe in advance, get your preferences on the cruise system before the meal, if in a suite tell concierge hosts in advance. There is so much food on the set meal, you will enjoy it all. If you want to sample more then book Remy brunch as well. Wine parings are extra but I would say do not do it, choose your own wine in advance.
