Copenhagen debarkation time

I am having the same issue. I am doing the Star in May and while I am leaving Houston on Friday and will be arriving in Copenhagen on Sat (already booked the Hilton at the airport for Sat and Sun nights.) and checking out the city on Sunday. Getting home is a pain. I can either stay another night there and leave Thrus morn and fly home via London (The easiest as it is all on BA direct) or overnight in Amsterdam then home or go via Frankfurt or Toronto staying an extra night in Denmark before leaving. The only one I wont have to change airlines is the BA flights.(At least it is terminal 5 and no terminal changes are required. thus it might be the winner)

We went from CA to Copenhagen via Toronto and came back through Frankfurt. The Toronto flights were much easier to deal with and the planes were newer (Air Canada). The flight back from Frankfurt was 2 hours late, packed with people and an older United 747 with lots of wear and tear in coach (Business and First look like they had been recently remodeled). An extra night in Amsterdam or Copenhagen is worth the longer flights through Germany IMHO. Also, look into hotels closer to the city center. The airport area is pretty bleak in Copenhagen.

We did the Star in August and stayed an extra day at the Marriott. Great location with many things within walking distance. Just not worth the rush imo. We were running around like crazy last year in Venice for the same reason and I swore I would never do that again!

i have gold status at Hilton (free internet/breakfast etc) plus I booked using points so it doesn't cost me anything and it is the only one there. Some places Hilton has a big footprint others not so much.

I've stayed at the Hilton airport and found it to be excellent. You will not hear any noise from the planes landing or taking off. Also the train stop is right next to the hotel and is about a 5-10 minute right into the city. The stop lets you off right at Tivoli Gardens.

That is one of the main reasons I picked it. Love the idea of getting off the plane, walking to hotel, dropping my suitcase and jumping on the train and exploring the city for a couple days. The fact it is a hilton is even better, I used points for it.
