Blazerboy Posted October 9, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 9, 2013 Cab. From Atatürk Airport to downtown is a fairly quick ride, even in traffic. I can't remember the price, but it wasn't bad. 4774Papa Posted October 9, 2013 #3 Share Posted October 9, 2013 What is the best way to get from the airport to the constellation in Istanbul on November 12? We used info@eyewitnessturkey.com contact Huseyin YAYLA. We had a bus for ten persons and cost was about 7 euros per person going from Constellation to airport. Traffic is very heavy in Istanbul, so be prepared for a lengthy trip.
BosoxI Posted October 9, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 9, 2013 Cab. From Atatürk Airport to downtown is a fairly quick ride, even in traffic. I can't remember the price, but it wasn't bad. Andrew Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Forums mobile app It's been a couple of years since I did it, so my memory might be faulty, but I believe the fare was about $50 . I actually did the reverse route and going to the airport in the morning led me into some pretty heavy traffic. I hope you are not flying in the day you embark. Pennstatedj Posted October 9, 2013 #5 Share Posted October 9, 2013 We are coming in at 350 pm and have booked a transfer with Celebrity after some convincing. We arrive on Delta. I also read on another post about booking a reserved car. Look for that on this site. See you on the connie.

John Bull Posted October 18, 2013 #8 Share Posted October 18, 2013 We are using them pre and post-cruise 30 Euros from airport to port for up to four. More important, if your cruise ends in Istanbul & you're headed for the airport, book them for that journey too, because the rip-off taxis at the port will want about double. But I hope you're planning a few post-cruise days in Istanbul - fascinating city.:) JB :)

John Bull Posted October 21, 2013 #10 Share Posted October 21, 2013 Hi, we are arriving Istanbul Nov 11 for cruise on the Connie Nov 12, about 5pm and staying in at Yazar Hotel in Sultanahmet. Any suggestions for airport transfers/cost? Lanny:) Click on the linked private transfer service. For Ataturk airport, Sultanahmet is a little closer & cheaper than a transfer to the cruise port. For the secondary airport, Sabiha (on the Asian side), it's a little further. For hotel to Connie, get your hotel to call for a taxi - the tram is no fun with luggage (we know, we did it :D) And, as my previous post, if your cruise ends in Istanbul do pre-book back to the airport. Be aware that since you're not cruising in you'll need tourist visas, available on-line or at the airport on arrival. JB :)

Keith1010 Posted October 22, 2013 #12 Share Posted October 22, 2013 Istanbul is one of those places that I say avoid the cab and go with one of the services mentioned above. Keith
4774Papa Posted October 22, 2013 #13 Share Posted October 22, 2013 Hi, we are arriving Istanbul Nov 11 for cruise on the Connie Nov 12, about 5pm and staying in at Yazar Hotel in Sultanahmet. Any suggestions for airport transfers/cost? Lanny:) Our hotel (Lausos) provided free transport from the airport to the hotel. A couple of the earlier posts provided transport options other than taxis.
goodie7415 Posted November 4, 2013 #14 Share Posted November 4, 2013 Taxi to port is simple and should be less than 20 Euros. We are arranging private transport to Rome and want to share the cost. Let me know if you have any interest.
