Queen of Oakville Posted October 10, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 10, 2013 I didnt' see this on page 1 so I assume it has not been posted here yet. Received this email this morning from Royal The following is a message from the Royal Caribbean International Emergency Notification System... We are contacting you with important information regarding your upcoming sailing on the Oasis of the Seas on October 12, out of Fort Lauderdale. Due to recent government budget reductions, U.S. Customs and Border Protection staffing has been affected, creating a longer immigration processing time for departing guests, and the ship has experienced a later clearance time for arriving guests. Therefore, please do not arrive at the cruise terminal prior to 12:30 p.m. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation, and look forward to welcoming you onboard. Clarea Posted October 10, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 10, 2013 That message has been coming from Royal for months. So far, no one has reported any major delays boarding Oasis or Allure.
CruzinSuz Posted October 10, 2013 #3 Share Posted October 10, 2013 This is the same message they've been sending since the sequester. We check in as normal. Enjoy the cruise, we just got off a few weeks ago.

Queen of Oakville Posted October 10, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted October 10, 2013 That message has been coming from Royal for months. So far, no one has reported any major delays boarding Oasis or Allure. Good to know! Thanks. I was worried more about getting off the ship. Well take our own bags off as early as we can. We have a 11:45 and getting worried about what we do if the ship clears late.

Because you are carrying your bags, you will probably be outside the terminal by 6:30am.
