Nassau???

Paradise Island is part of Nassau. It is a short cab ride from the port, and is where the Atlantis resort is, and it is one of the main attractions in Nassau.

Freeport is a completely different port and island. I doubt there is any practical way for you to experience Freeport from Nassau on a cruise day - or vice versa. I have never been to Freeport so I have no suggestions if you are stopping there.

Have fun!

You will dock right in Nassau. You can walk one block from the ship and be on the main business/shopping street. The straw market is also very near the dock.

Paradise Island is across a short causeway. You will need to take a water taxi or land taxi to get to Atlantis. I like the water taxi for the views. There is a short uphill walk from the water taxi terminus to Atlantis. However, once on the property you walk through the marina and can see the HUGE yachts moored there. Wow!! If you take a land taxi they will drop you off at the front door. Make sure you have a look at the marina.

Atlantis has a nice casino, but the rest of the hotel is pretty pricey. The last time we were there we took a land taxi to Cabbage beach on Paradise Island. It is about 3/4 mile down the beach from Atlantis. You can rent chairs and get a taxi back to the ship.

However, I have noted that the State Department has an advisory out for Nassau. I feel the water taxi/Atlantis and walking around the area near the port is safe. I am not sure how far I would travel away from that.
