ceslpn Posted October 12, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 12, 2013 When our first cruise is over, what happens on the day of turn around? Do we have to leave our room until 1pm? Do I need to print our sea passes for the second cruise? Will we have to get off the ship and get back on? So excited but nervous about the turnaround day. Rare NorbertsNiece Posted October 12, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 12, 2013 Hi, you really don't need the sea pass info printed off again.... be sure that the info on your booking acknowledges consecutive cruises. You can confirm that with the people at check in. During the first week there will be a meeting for all those on B2B. They will explain the procedure to you. You will be given sea pass cards for the 2nd week before the first is over. You will have access to your room whenever you want, assuming you have the same room. You may or may not have to leave the ship.... you will be with the group for the process to be completed. Enjoy!
Merly Posted October 12, 2013 #3 Share Posted October 12, 2013 Don't worry. We have done a couple of back to backs and the process is made very easy. You will have access to your state room all the time.
dancing dragon Posted October 12, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 12, 2013 Just make sure your Room Steward knows you are B2B and he's do your room first, If you are sailing in the states, you will meet that morning and be escorted off and then right back on the ship (customs) and given your new cards, I've been given them before we did the on/off part and I've been given them at customs, so it can change.. If you are sailing form an International Port, you may be given the new Set Sail card the night before (that happen in Italy).. either way, the doors to the hallway will be closed until 1:00pm, but you can push them open and go to your room, I've done this and no one stopped me.. but I didn't hang around because I didn't want to be in the way.. to make it painless, and to make sure your information transfers to the new cruise, you need to link the cruises on Royal Caribbean's web site.. but if you can't do that, go to guest relations as soon as you get on the ship and let them know... plus make sure you tell the room steward... if you have any questions, just ask Guest Relations and they will explain how it all works.. have a Great cruise!! don;t worry it will go smother than you think.. I've done 4 sets of B2B, and one B2B2B... all went great..
Scotty G Posted October 12, 2013 #5 Share Posted October 12, 2013 When our first cruise is over, what happens on the day of turn around? Do we have to leave our room until 1pm? Do I need to print our sea passes for the second cruise? Will we have to get off the ship and get back on? So excited but nervous about the turnaround day. There are different procedures by ship and port. We have even had different procedures on the same ship within a couple of months. The best advice is to follow the instructions that should appear in your cabin prior to the B2B. If none appear, check in with Guest Service. If changing cabins discuss that with your steward. You can access your cabin after you have processed back onto the ship. I had an interesting time last B2B when they were testing the fire doors. I got stuck in a no man's land on the Centrum stairs with no way out for 10 minutes. Nothing to worry about as you are still going to be on a cruise :D Bon Voyage! crisndeefromde Posted October 12, 2013 #6 Share Posted October 12, 2013 One item our ta taught us....always complete both of your sea pass for each cruise. They close out one cruise and start the next. They will have the info already for your next leg. We had some cruisers our first time doing a b2b that thought it was just one big bill....they were a little mad to have to go to guest services and so forth. I guess all was good in the end. If there is a large enough group of cruisers the ship will give a special luncheon for you right after your customs time. We haven't done this. We have always gotten off the ship with our in transit cards they will give you and were wisked by customs...(you will do your form at the end of your cruise) and went off into old san juan...where we have done our b2b cruising from. Second time same thing but there was over 100 of us at the meeting and many had problems as we did with dining and so forth but all was handled. have a wonderful time.
