Patto1000 Posted October 13, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 13, 2013 Hi guys We fly to oz from the uk to go on a 10nt sun princess cruise from Sydney It's our first ever cruise so we are going to town on the formal evenings (tuxedo...posh dress etc) and are really looking forward to them. We have 2 formal evenings on our cruise and was hoping that they don't clash with our planned excursions that we are doing (only 2 excursions) because we don't want to be rushed getting ready for formal nights if we've just got back from an excursion the same day Is there any way we could find out which particular nights during our cruise will be our formal nights? Thanks for any help
1025cruise Posted October 13, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 13, 2013 General rule of thumb is that formal nights will be on sea day, but never the final night.

NavyVeteran Posted October 14, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 14, 2013 Formal nights are never on the first night (when people are unpacking) or the last night (when people are packing). They will usually be on sea days if sea days are available. If not, they usually try to schedule them on days with early departure times. They understand that people need time to dress for formal nights.
