Transfers

We're sailing on the Carnival Valor if we purchased the transfer service, and than decided to stay the night before. Can we use the transfer from the hotel to the pier with Carnivals transfer?

Transfers are only allowed from airport/pier or pier/airport or in the case of europe if Carnival sets up the hotel they will do the transfer. The only other eexception is if it is a carnival excursion pre cruise or after cruise.

Yes you can.

You'll just have to find transportation back to the airport.

For example.

You fly in the day before and stay at a hotel.

Maybe the hotel you choose has free transportation.

They pick you up at the airport and take you to hotel.

The next day, you just get the hotel to take you back to the airport. If you're the only ones on the hotel shuttle, maybe they'll drop you off in arrivals. Either way, you make your way to baggage claim, and look for the Carnival reps.

If you're asking will Carnival buses pick you up at the hotel?

Then that answer is no.

Last week out of New York to sail on the Splendor we did what you want to do,we flew in the day before. We had the hotel shuttle takes us to the Carnival shuttle pick up point in the morning,no problem.

Carnival wants to know your flight number and and time to arrange pick up,we just looked up a flight for the day we left and gave them that info.

Hope this helps:cool:

If you're staying in a large hotel somewhat near the airport or cruise port, a lot of them offer a private transfer for a fee. We stayed overnight at an airport hotel in Miami and they had a pre arranged private transfer with a set departure time you signed up for, I think it was around 11am. The price ended up being a little less than Carnival and way more convenient because it went direct from our hotel! Might be worth calling your hotel directly to see if they arrange one.
