don24 Posted October 17, 2013 #3 Share Posted October 17, 2013 noro is such a real problem with ships. we just got off the breakaway not to long ago and think noros gonna be an issue with this ship. Why you ask well let me explain. the public bathrooms use a completely touchless approach this seems good but the system isn't friendly . the toilet is autoflush the soap is a sensor as is the water. the soap is the biggest pain ,you wave your hand under and it squirts next to your hand than you struggle to get the water to work and wave like a chicken to get the paper towels to come out. about day three is when I started to notice the " I give up " and people wetting instead of washing there hands. now excuse me as I go get my fire proof undies on
L3GWG Posted October 17, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 17, 2013 Don24. Touch less can only be good and hygienic. You have 2 hands , use on for sensor and one to catch soap, rub hands together, move to dryer and go through the motions again until ready. MCAT48 Posted October 17, 2013 #5 Share Posted October 17, 2013 Never had a problem washing my hands on the breakaway. They even have sinks at the entrances of the buffets which is very good.
don24 Posted October 17, 2013 #6 Share Posted October 17, 2013 im only saying what I was seeing and I agree hands free is good but I witnessed many passengers giving up and leaving. don't shoot the messenger. im a ncl fan and have no problems with them. I can just see a problem on the horizon just putting in some input. and I loved the sinks at buffet. I used washy washy in and sinks out

The bathroom touchless soap dispensers on Breakaway are more difficult to use than typical ones you find just about anywhere (rest stops, malls, airports, etc). don24 Posted October 18, 2013 #10 Share Posted October 18, 2013 I've observed the same. The bathroom touchless soap dispensers on Breakaway are more difficult to use than typical ones you find just about anywhere (rest stops, malls, airports, etc). only because they are recessed into the wall and you cant see the nozzle used to dispense. and I swear the damn thing is in different spot at different locations on ship. it was sooo close to being a great system if only the soap dispenser was a little bit visible it would have worked fine.
