sylsle Posted October 18, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 18, 2013 Hey folks, this is Sylvia... I'll be on my first cruise to the Bahamas later this month. I am curious to learn about Carnival's day-by-day programs. If anybody has scanned and posted somewhere on the internet, could you please provide link. Thanks. Hello sylsle, I see you are also on the Carnival Ecstasy sailing Oct 26,2013 message board. Here is a posting (#32) on that board from mcwebber Funtimes link...... Looks like Ecstasy hasn't done a visit to Little Stirrup Cay (Coco Cay) before so there is no FunTimes for it. Should be similar to the other itinerary. http://johnhealdsblog.com/funtimes/2013-07-12/Carnival%20Ecstasy/ I am also going to be solo on this sailing but noticed one of your postings mentioned DH was joining you, was there a change of plans, are you still solo? mark
sylsle Posted October 19, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted October 19, 2013 Thanks Mark. DH is still booked, but can't make it. He got a plum job for that week. I'm gonna miss him. You solo?
maxandmolly Posted October 19, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 19, 2013 It looks like there are a few solos on that cruise, including me! Mark, are you saying we'll be the first Carnival passengers to view it CoCo Cay?

Not first time for Carnival but first time for Ecstasy, per mcwebber. Should be a great day, weather permitting? I have read that these "Private Islands" get bumped about 20% of the time, they will not run the tenders to the island if the sea is to rough. I am also solo and doing my first B2B, this 5 day then a 4 day. I'm flying in from Washington state and 5 days did not seem long enough plus the price was right so I just doubled up. Also going to fly in a few days early, staying at the Four Point in Cocoa Beach and hope to visit the Kennedy Space center for the first time. Almost time to pack a bag, mark

(Except that great big ships are fine, but small tender boats are not nice to my insides.) About time to drag out my suitcase too.
marshhawk Posted October 20, 2013 #7 Share Posted October 20, 2013 You may want to read some reviews regarding the Fascination, which picked up Little Stirrup Cay earlier this year. Not many people have been writing reviews from that particular sailing, but a CC member on my other roll call says it s a nice beach, very shallow water for a long way out, but HMC is better. Well I thought HMC was paradise, so this may not be the same, but it's a beach. The downside is you have to pay to snorkel even if you bring your own stuff, because they make you wear a vest. NOw if you have all your won stuff and a vest? You should be fine.
