Lunch aboard Explorer on boarding

Just curious ..Are any of the restaurants open for lunch besides windjammer upon boarding the first day

Just curious ..Are any of the restaurants open for lunch besides windjammer upon boarding the first day.

Cafe Promenade is open. Don't know about Johnny Rockets. Portofino does not serve lunch.

As Bob said, I loved the Cafe Promenade for a light embarkation lunch. We got there and there wasn't another soul eating. We stayed until it was time to go to our cabins and it still wasn't crowded.

Yep, Cafe Promenade is the way to go. When you board they will be pushing everyone toward the elevators - just go thru the crowd and up a couple of flights of stairs and there you are:D. Everyone let's themselves be herded up, not us:p we enjoyed a quiet lunch and spent time on the open deck there finishing up some phone calls before we shut down phones for the duration;)

Thanks SOOO much for the tip. I really don't like that Windjammer and all those crowded people. Yucky. Promenade here we come!
