Mercruiser Posted October 24, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 24, 2013 Clarita at Albert's Tours asked if I was taking the Terevau ferry between Papeete and Moorea. I've never heard about Terevau before. They appear to be a low-cost competitor to the Aremiti ferries. Here is their Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/Terevau Has anyone used this ferry? It's pretty difficult to read about them because their facebook page is in French and uses mostly scanned images which cannot be translated using translate.google.com. homertonian Posted February 21, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2014 Re the Facebook page being in French at the end of each post is a translation option just click on that and then 'see translation'. We are using it to get back to Papeete as it is a lot cheaper.
Mercruiser Posted February 25, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted February 25, 2014 (edited) I didn't end up using the Terevau ferry on our November 2013 visit. The departure times for the Aremiti happened to work out better for our schedule. BPCruiser Posted March 16, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 16, 2014 We plan to use the Terevau Ferry from Papeete to Moorea on April 2nd. Our plane arrives in at 5A in Papeete and have arranged transportation to the Ferry Dock to catch the 8:10A Terevau Ferry to Moorea. The Arimetti I believe has a Ferry leaving earlier, maybe 6:45A but did not want to worry about rushing to make that Ferry crossing. Albert's in Moorea will be picking us up in Moorea to transport to our Hotel at 8:45A when Terevau arrives. The Terevau Ferry was recommended to me by Albert's transfers in Moorea as a good option to the Arimeti for different time options since both Ferries do not run at the same time.
