independence....... happy hour / drink specials?

I am considering purchasing the drink package but have read somewhere that some of the ships have drink specials ( buy one get one, etc). Can anyone confirm this and provide details for independence of the seas? Thank you.

If you're a crown and anchor member you would get a buy-one-get-one-free coupon. Otherwise the only specials you are guaranteed to see are the discounted drink of the day.

 

Here are the Drinks of the Day from my Independence Western Caribbean cruise:

On our Canaries cruise last week, on sea days they had 50% off house cocktails and selected house spirits between 3 & 5 :)

Unless you drink the Drink of the Day daily expect to pay full price for your drinks. The package is only beneficial if you drink more than ~7 drinks a day, more if you drink beer.

forgot to say, the 50% off was only in the Casino.

 

The drink of the day was $7.50 and you kept the glass.
