Hi

So I am more or less done packing for my Breakaway cruise on sat. We are a family of four (2 kids 1 yr and 6yr) with have 2 big pieces of luggage and 2 small carry on size. Is that too much??LOL How much are you packing

I take that for just my hubby and I! Your doing great :D

Enjoy your cruise!!!

We always have one large piece of luggage and a carry-on for each of the two of us so if you can manage to put the kid's clothes in them too, I'd say that you're doing just fine. :)

Granted that we usually pack for 2+ weeks when cruising from US (our next trip will be 3,5 weeks), but we still had the same bags with us (just a little less full packed) when doing a 9-night (8 onboard, 1 post-cruise) quickie from Venice this summer.

We are going on Breakaway this weekend also but it leaves on Sun., not Sat. I got scared for a min. and thought I got date wrong, but doublechecked and it really is Sun. 11/3.

O my goodness mickey-mouse, I did the same thing! I have a hair appointment for the sat before I leave, I had to book 2 months ago! Phew, not that it would have been hard to decide what to cancel!!! LOL

Michie, Have a fantastic time! There is nothing wrong with trying to start your vacation a day early!!

On our honeymoon, my husband took his backpack and a small tote. I took a large duffle bag. Never again. That thing was so heavy it was ridiculous and I didn't even bring a lot of stuff.

This time, we are both using one piece of carry-on luggage each and I'm bringing a backpack and purse. We have wheels this time.

Bonus for leaving this Sunday on the Breakaway is that Daylight Savings Time end at 2 AM so you get an extra hour of sleep ... or, to pack last minute :D

Heads up if you aren't aware but I'm sure someone on the Roll Call is doing the reminder, allow extra time as it is the NYC Marathon running thru the 5 boroughs - it will not impact Manhattan's West Side where MCT Pier 88 to 90 is located, traffic won't be fun on the Upper East Side - taxi & car service drivers will be dodging them & avoiding the area.

Enjoy the cruise & have fun !
