I'm just 'assuming' but think it likely you have to go through Host Walt (or another CC Host) to do so.

You just have to ask Walt and he passes the request on to one of the "senior mods".

Go to the FAQ s on CC and find the question about changing your CC name and to whom to send the email. It took less than 24 hours.

I'm much happier and it protects my privacy. No hint of my last name.

Hope you told CC to delete your old account, there are too many inactive accounts here. I tried to pick Typhoon years ago, it's not listed in the members list, however, someone claimed it, but has never posted anything.

It could use a good cleaning. Numerous people created accounts but never posted anything.

CC told me you are only on the members list if you have posted something. The name may be taken, but there were never any posts. Those people do not appear on the member list.

Don't you have to be a member to post in the review area of CC?

You don't get a post count when you post a review, and don't get listed on the Member's List until you do post, but that's one simple explanation.

 

Another explanation is that someone could have been active years ago, but not since the boards were overhauled in 2004. At that time, all the old posts were eliminated, and the posts counts went down to represent that loss. Someone could have gone to a zero count when that happened.

I think I might have the answer.... on the Royal Caribbean Meet & Mingle roll call forums, you cannot register without being a CC member. My daughter did that and has never posted on CC.

At least, that's what CC told me.
