Liberty room above arcade

We are booked in room 6380 which is directly above the arcade. Anyone ever stay in this area on the Liberty or other ships? I'm just wondering what the noise would be like. I was careful not to book above a club.

Arcades can be noisy. Certainly you can hear them when you are passing by. Not sure what the operating hours are, but would expect the arcade to be open in the evening. So if you are an afternoon napper or like to retire early you might have some cabin noise.

 

Hopefully someone else who has had this room can give you definitive answer.

I looked at Cruiselinerooms and Cruisedeckplans sites and didn't see any reports of noise from that cabin on either. There were reports on that deck of noise from the disco, theatre and other areas but none near your cabin.

thanks, I really don't want to change rooms. I'm sure there can be noise but I don't think it would be like a disco bumping until all hours of the morning. During the day it wouldn't bother me.

I was in a cabin above the arcade on the Liberty and there was no noise at all. I think my cabin was 6388. After a bad experience with cabin noise on the Glory, I am very cognizant of where my room is now. Never book above or below a music venue.

I suppose it depends on who is on that particular cruise, but I've yet to even see an arcade being busy.

Same here. Of my 3 cruises, hardly anybody in the arcades. Only time there was a crowd was when RCI staff brought kids in for a tournament on a sea day.

Arcades tend to emit higher frequency sounds, which don't penetrate as far as lower frequencies (bass). I wouldn't see the noise from the arcade being an issue, unless there were people in there yelling or whatever, which could happen anywhere.

What time of year are you cruising? We were on Liberty last week and rarely saw anyone in the arcade, very few kids on board in fact.
