Can mattresses be moved from couch and pull-down berth?

I'm really worried that the rails on the sleeper couch (requested by agent) and pull-down berth won't contain either of my very active little sleepers.

Is it possible to put the mattresses from the sleeper couch and pull-down berth on the floor?

Thank you!

Ask for "double rails." They will extend the entire length of the bed. The single rail is about 4 feet long.

Depending on age of kids, can you put both in the flip couch? they can sleep with heads at either end and feet in the middle. That way, max fall would be about 2 feet onto carpet...and they can't get past the rails.

I second asking for full-length rails; they work well for my DD who does not sleep in one position.

That said, if you are going to put a mattress on the floor, don't even bother with the pull-down bunk. Just tell your host you're not going to use it and that you'd like a mattress made up on the floor instead. They are happy to do it. On our last cruise one night my in-laws hosted all four grandchildren in their sleeps-four 5A stateroom. They slept in the queen, the two eldest slept on the sofa and the bunk, and somehow our host also managed to make up an extra twin and the baby's pack-n-play in the remaining floor space. It looked like a game of Tetris. But they had a great time and we made sure the host was taken care of. :)
