suntan Posted November 1, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 1, 2013 We are off on our Caribbean cruise on November 16th and one of the ports of call is Aruba. We have booked the Jolly Pirates snorkeling excursion but found out yesterday that to get to the pirate ship you have to take a small boat and get onto the pirate ship from this boat, which will be difficult for someone in our party. I saw this other snorkeling excursion which is on a catamaran. One quick question, to get onto the catamaran is it from a dock/pier, which will make it easier to board? Thanks and have a great day. I have done the Jolly Pirates cruise and I have access problems getting into boats. Let me assure you that they have a very unique set up. I wish I had a picture of it. You "walk" right from the tender boat onto the larger boat. It is as easy as boarding from a dock or easier. I doubt if the person you are concerned with will have any problems. We are booked for this tour again in May. I am going to make a point to get a picture of the set up this time. Honestly, I was very worried when I first saw what we were going to do, but my fears were for naught.
suntan Posted November 5, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted November 5, 2013 Thanks Ginny for the info. To be on the safe side we cancelled the Jolly Pirates excursion and booked the catamaran trip. I know for future reference we would like to see the set up on the Jolly Pirates boarding excursion. There are more cruises to come in my future.
