Priceline bidding area for 17th street hotels in FLL

Could someone tell which area to bid for Priceline FLL hotel near the cruise port?

You can get the Hyatt Pier 66 right now on Priceline for 81$. It's listed under their fast buy option as a 4 star ft lauderdale beach area hotel. It's a mile from the port

Does it matter what star level you choose when using betterbidding.com? I'm looking at 3 1/2 star level hotels in downtown fort Lauderdale. I want to be in within walking distance to restaurants and a wine shop and of course I want a nice, clean room.

If looking at downtown 3 1/2 and higher will work. Check out the hotels used on both HW and PL and check out their web sites and tripadvisor.com for locations and reviews.

 

Valuetrips.com will get you the best rate for Hyatt Pl North. A good location for what you need and popular with cruisers.

I'm not 100% sure, but I THINK that the Riverside is a 3-1/2 star hotel on Hotwire (and possibly Priceline) for the Downtown/Pt. Everglades/Las Olas area.

Embassy Suites and Crowne Plaza are the other 3 1/2 star properties listed as downtown on PL and/or HW.

 

For the OP .....if you get the Riverside it is the only hotel on Las Olas Blvd. Great for restaurants and some boutiquey shopping. You'd need to take the sun trolley or bus to total wine. Or go to the walking distance CVS for a smaller variety of wine.

I have checked out "HotelDealsRevealed.com" and for what it is worth, they say:

 

Riverside is 3* on Priceline and 3 1/2* on Hotwire

 

Hilton FL Marina is 4* on both

 

Renaissance is 4* on Priceline and 3 1/2* on Hotwire

Just a heads up; the ratings have nothing to do with how nice the hotel is but what amenities they offer.
