Cabin Mini Fridge

Has anyone asked to have the mini fridge in your cabin to be emptied? And how does that work? Can it be requested prior to boarding? We have never used the mini bar, but could see some benefit in having the refrig space.

The stateroom attendants are not responsible for the contents of the mini fridge any longer, as that is handled by bar service.

We just empty out the contents and put in a cabinet. I then right a note as to where the items are and tape it to the front of the fridge door. Have never had a problem.

On Debarkation morning, I make sure that everything has been returned to where we found it.

Just an FYI.........but it really isn't a fridge but more like a cooler. Depends on the ship as to how cold it will actually get.

I always empty it myself. Just put things where they can be seen, like on top and beside the minifridge. There is an attendent who comes around checking these to see if you have used anything and need refills. If they can see all the items when they check, you won't we charged for items you removed but didn't actually use.
