How to Sit with Friends who made separate reservations?

We are cruising with friends in January on Oasis. We both made separate reservations. How can we tie our reservations together so we can dine together and make show reservations together? We will be doing My Time Dining plus visiting several speciality restaurants. :confused:

Contact RCI , or your TA with both booking numbers and explain what you would like to do.

If you booked direct go into your "My Cruises" online and somewhere in there is a spot where you can link reservations, you would just need the other people's booking numbers. If you all booked with a travel agent then they will have to link the reservations on both ends, i.e. you give your travel agent their booking number and they give their TA your booking number to have them linked.

I thought there was a place online to do this too but I can't find it now. Maybe they took it off during the recent rework of the site.

Probably the best thing to do is give them a call and let them know what you're trying to do. Sometimes a good old fashioned phone call is better than trying to do things online :)

If you have all opted for MTD it does not matter if the reservations are linked or not as you don't have an assigned table. All you have to do is all go to the dining room together and ask for a table with the number of people in your party. As for shows, just decide what time you all want to go and each of you can reserve shows for the same time.

Cross reference the reservation numbers.

You don't get assigned seats at the show....as long as you pick the same show, and show up together, you can sit together.

 

It's only for traditional dining seating that you need to "link" your reservations. If you all have MTD, just show up together! Same with the specialty restaurants...you do NOT need to "link" anything, if you are not doing traditional seating.

We are currently linking our reservations for our dinner with a family from Florida we met two cruises ago. We both have to request using both of our cruise reservation numbers us thru our TA, and them thru RCI.

RCI's customer service will generally not link reservations made through a TA. Each TA must call RCI and request links. I would not wait untill Day 1 and hope they can seat you at the same table.

 

They will not link reservations unless you all have the same dining option. Late, early, or MTD.

 

BTW there are other reasons to link reservations. You may want the same departure time to share a cab.
