swom Posted November 11, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2013 Hubby is worried we won't be able to swim in the waters in Feb. I told him we would, but he doesn't believe me. Input please. Thank you!
CruiserBruce Posted November 12, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 12, 2013 I have swam there in December, February and March. But, as we don't know anything about your husband's tolerance, hard to speak for him. The water temp is never real warm like the further south Caribbean. But many people swim there. OCruisers Posted November 12, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 12, 2013 While the water is too chilly for me at HMC in January, very many do swim there. DH seems to think it's fine but never stays in for a long time. When it's a sunny warm day, it still makes a very nice beach day to enjoy just being on the beach or hanging out at one of the beach bars. :) LuLu ~~~~
cb at sea Posted November 12, 2013 #4 Share Posted November 12, 2013 Unless I''m really hot, I see no need to get wet! The sun will be warm...the water will be ok if you're hot enough!
Typhoon1 Posted November 12, 2013 #5 Share Posted November 12, 2013 Lukewarm at best. It has been chilly at times. It is what it is. Go with a positive attitude and enjoy your stay at HMC.
Colorado Kat Posted November 14, 2013 #6 Share Posted November 14, 2013 I've never had a problem swimming any time of the year. But I lived in upstate New York, and now Colorado, so am used to things a bit more chilly.
