You have to be out of your cabin by 8am....and you will be assigned a departure time based on flights and airports

YOu can book an excursion for the day, and princess will take you and your bags to the airport

One of the nice things about Princess is that you can go directly to your cabin as soon as you board, usually between 11:30-Noon. To accomplish this, Princess asks passengers to vacate their cabins by 8am. So, no matter what time you disembark, you'll be hanging around the ship until disembarking.

You can take a tour that ends at the airport but those will drop you off by about 1pm. You can rent a car and explore/tour on your own. You could also go to a nearby hotel, leave your luggage with the concierge and enjoy the beach or restaurants for the day, then take a taxi to the airport.

Or you may be able to buy a pass to the VIP lounge of your airline. We have done this because it is much more comfortable than a long wait in the terminal. This could be combined with an excursion.

What is the latest you can disembark at end of your cruise. We will be on Emerald Princess docking in Fort Lauderdale early morning but our flight back to UK is not until the evening.

Flight from Miami? The logistics are more difficult if your flight is from Miami. You might want to look at a Princess tour that will drop you at the airport. This is the easiest way to go. It may be possible to use EZ Check at the pier, then take a taxi or transfer down to Miami then tour around South Beach Miami, or Miami Beach.

No EZcheck for international flights.

When getting off a cruise ship, we like the ship's tours with dropoff at airport. It does make you feel like your vacation is still on going that day.

If the OP prefers to use the airline lounges, AA has two at Miami airport, with showers available and really nice lounges.Cost when you buy it there(not in advance) is 99.00 for a month, or a day, same price.

Thank you for your advice. We will have been in Fort Lauderdale a week prior to our cruise, so maybe we will ask hotel if we can leave our luggage there on our return. Will also check out the tours offered, but for four of us, will probably be cheaper to get a taxi to airport.

Hi There,

Once upon a time if your flights were through Princess your last day was covered by Princess a tour, a hotel, food transfer etc,

then you had to start paying, and choices went down,

however for any easy stress free last day Princess tour/transfer is still

the easy way to go.

yours Shogun

If the hotel will store your luggage, its fun to do the water taxi in Fort Lauderdale. The full circuit is about 3 hours, but you can hop on and off.

The lounges are past security which means you need to check your luggage first.

If check-in is not allowed until three or four hours before the flight, would still have to wait a while in the check-in hall with limited seating.
