Safe Cruise Parking in Miami

Sailing out of Miami in January and have checking BBB in Miami on Safe Cruise Parking. They have a clean record with no complaints. Would like to get some feedback from someone who has used them. Any problems? Was the shuttle wait long? How about the shuttle coming back? We plan on getting to the parking lot around 9:00-9:30 and will be getting off the ship about 7:00.

Thanks in advance for you assistance.

I have not used them since they moved the lot to a different location.

The shuttle was very easy and quick when we used them in April. We really liked the lot they had under the expressway but now that they moved to a new lot more towards a residential area I passed on SafeCruiseparking for my upcoming cruise next month.

Good luck and please come back and give a review of the new lot if you still decide to use them.

We are also considering Safe Cruise parking in Miami for a January cruise. We will be on a b2b with the first cruise on the 18th. I also want to be at the port by 9:30.

Does it strike you as odd that a company would name itself Safe Cruise Parking?

We just cruised out of Miami (Nov. 10-20, 2013) and used Safe Cruise Parking. We had no trouble at all with their service. We arrived just before noon and only waited a few minutes before two vans arrived. On return, we wore our stickers they gave us and after about 10 minutes, a man carrying a placard with the same sticker on it came by, contacted a driver, gathered a few more passengers and we were on our way within a half hour of walking out of the terminal. Picked up some additional passengers, then were whisked back to the parking lot. The cars were fine while we were away. Everything was run very smoothly and professionally and we would use Safe Cruise Parking again.

I don't know if you can expect to park and be shuttled as early at 9:30 a.m. At that hour, they're busy bringing returning cruisers back to the lot. I'd call to verify that.

I don't know why some question the choice of name. I used "Premier" Parking last February in Orlando and it was a total nightmare. I don't put much stock in what a business calls itself!

The lot location seemed okay, in a more industrial area, maybe a few blocks from their former parking lot under the highway, but parking lots aren't usually located in prime territory! A word of warning, however. In Miami, as in any city, don't turn your back on your bags. While we waited to board the van to the ship, a couple with two young daughters weren't watching one girl's bags and a young thief ran in, grabbed her small canvas bag and ran off with it. Luckily, it only held her bathing suit. The van driver told the young man checking people in that he should make everyone wait farther in from the street to help prevent incidents like this. But you should always be vigilant - tourists are prime targets! Enjoy your cruise.

Thanks so much for the information. I did call about parking and getting the shuttle early and they said 'no problem'. Although I've heard that before as we all probably have.

What time did you get off the ship?

I don't know exactly what time we left the ship, but it was around 9:15 or thereabouts. We were in our car and on I-95 around 10:15.

Thank you 3catnight
