Hello everyone. . . It appears that Carnival Pride has arrived at Cruise Maryland around 9AM.

There are many passengers who will be getting off of the Ship and driving home. . .

But there are also over 2000 passengers who can't wait to board for their 7 nights of FUN !

I still plan to be checked in by around noon . . . It is very cold outside.

Thanks for the nice comments. . .and thanks for tuning in. :)

Does she normally arrive around 9? Seems kind of late!

Will be very interesting to learn if there is ice. I know that some of the rivers here in Virginia (much farther upstream than the bay) are frozen completely across. Hope you can get some pictures if there is any.

9AM is her scheduled dock time, I believe. It isn't unheard of, actually it is very common, for her to come in late depending on weather on the coast.

We too love the Pride.....just got off in Nov. Hope you have a great cruise, and if you'd like to meet an amazing bartender, look for Ayu. She's friendly, loves her job and makes a great Twilight Zone! lol

Can't wait to read more.

I'm so looking forward to your review. I've been following you for some time now and nobody does it as well as you.

How long does it take for the ship to hit the Atlantic Ocean and do you expect rough seas.

Radio, Thank you very much in advance for what I know will be a awesome thread. How do you get the tracking of the vessel that you have shown as screen shots and do you plan on posting the Fun Times either via JPG or PDF(sometimes they are available for free PDF download from the main CCL Pride WiFi log-in website you use to access the ship's BowtoStern WiFi)?

Hello everyone ! I am very happy that tomorrow morning I will be on my first Cruise for 2014. Yes, I will be posting “LIVE” from Carnival Pride.

It has been awhile since I was on Carnival Pride, but I have toured her several times over the last several years and I have noticed a few changes

from 2009 since I last sailed her. That “LIVE” post can be viewed HERE.

Again, I will be aboard Pride for 7 Nights as we sail to the Bahamas (Port Canaveral, Nassau, and Freeport)

My “LIVE” post will include daily commentary of my views while onboard. I will try to have photos posted daily of various ship views, public areas, and cabins.

I really miss the Carnival Pride Winners Club Casino . . . I remember it as being very Radio “friendly”. Of course my posting will be dependent on my ability to

maintain a valid wireless connection. I remember the Pride to have a fast connection, and I should be able to post from my cabin as well as most public areas.

There has been a lot of discussion about Carnival Cruise Lines leaving Baltimore (Oct 2014), but it will only be for a short time. I was told that Carnival will be

back at Cruise Maryland in April 2015. . ..Yes that means Baltimore will only have about 5 months without a CCL vessel. I am not aware of what the ship will be,

but I will try to find out if I can.

The forecast for tomorrow is quite cold (28F) and sunny. We should have a nice but very cold Sailaway, but I may not stay out on the decks for long.

I don’t think that there will be too many swimmers until at least Tuesday. We will be at sea for Monday and Tuesday as we are scheduled to arrive in

Port Canaveral on Wednesday morning. The cold front may have a negative effect on the temperatures in Florida this week, but no worries . . . I will be on a Cruise !

Sit back and relax (with a coffee), and join me for a week in the Bahamas. . .

Thanks for tuning in.

We just sailed on the Pride earlier this month and loved it.

If you like coffee, I'd recommend visiting the coffee bar on Deck 9 between 11:30 and 3:00. The barista that worked there was super friendly and made really good coffee.

Hello everyone . . . today is Cruise Day! I will be leaving for Cruise Maryland at about 11AM (ish), but I must stop and have a Starbucks while in transit.

As I suggested, it is a very cold day 18F, but it should warm up nicely to a balmy 28F . . . Brrr . . .

Carnival Pride is just about to go under the Chesapeake Bay Bridges and should dock in couple of hours. I will try to get to the pier early so I can board quickly.

I will report how the Platinum boarding experience is.

I guess I should start packing now, as I have a few electronics to secure before I can get to the Pier.

Then I will be off to Cruise Maryland (20 min drive) and my next post should be from onboard Carnival Pride !

Thanks for tuning in . . .

Hello everyone . . . Good Day and Welcome to Day 1 of “LIVE” from Carnival Pride.

I arrived at Cruise Maryland at about 12 Noon. There was no one in the Security Line, and I was able to get to the Platinum Check In area quickly. It is a small room in the front of the Terminal where they have your cards and take your photo (for your Sail and Sign Card)

They positioned me in the Platinum boarding area, and there are plenty of chairs for sitting so I just relaxed for a few minutes until I was called for boarding.(12:45PM) They called a wedding party and a group of TA’s first before I was ready to board.

Being a Platinum Member, I was able to go to my room immediately. The “Faster to the Fun” members were also able to go directly to their rooms. I dropped off a few things before going up to the Lido Deck to have some lunch. I really love the Reuben sandwiches up there! There were plenty of tables available as I was onboard very early. The Cruise Staff were setting up tables for many sailing day specials including the Cheers Program and Steakhouse reservations.

There are already passengers enjoying the Deck 9 whirlpools, but I don’t think there will be too many passengers in the pools. (at least not today) .There is a DJ playing upon boarding down in the Atrium. The DJ will move up to the Lido stage for Sailaway. On second thought, maybe not. It started snowing (lightly) at about 2PM.

We are scheduled for sail away at 4:30PM, and there will be one Welcome aboard show at 10:30PM. Here are a few pics from embarkation. There will be more pics later tonight.

Thanks for the nice comments. . .
