turquoise 6 Posted February 4, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 4, 2014 I was told that Aljazeera (media) will no longer Be shown on the QM2 . I know Fox is shown, as BBC And Mnbc , though mid Atlantic. The signal lost, I enjoyed watching Aljazeera on board and thought It made a balance on the media shown I don't know why it was cut?

The signal lost, I enjoyed watching Aljazeera on board and thought It made a balance on the media shown I don't know why it was cut? I mostly watch either Aljazeera or Russia Today to try and get a more varied view of whats happening in the world. I find that the UK TV media are so left wing biased, ( main offender the BBC ) and show so little actual news that they are a complete waste of time. I do hope Cunard continue to show Aljazeera as its one of the few news outlets that broadcast a wide range of news.
buchhalm Posted February 6, 2014 #4 Share Posted February 6, 2014 Too many Jewish passengers on Cunard that are complaining about the Qatari propaganda channel?
durante Posted February 6, 2014 #5 Share Posted February 6, 2014 I don't remember ever seeing Al Jazeera news on any Cunard ship? I also find they show a broader range of news stories than the big US and UK networks.
Underwatr Posted February 6, 2014 #6 Share Posted February 6, 2014 I've never seen al Jazeera aboard Cunard either. The only time I've been on the eastern end of the Atlantic on Cunard was a Transatlantic though. But if I believed the Cunard TV programming could be influenced by complaints... Last year on a crossing , it was gone. Fox News is very prominent on the Cunard network I agree that Aljazeera shows a broader range of news. I remember watching a story about the wild life and global warming in Northern parts of Europe. Variety is always a good option
