I have rented a Jeep in Aruba..

what should we go see?

best 4 x 4 adventure?

best place to visit on your own?

any "hidden treasures" you have found in Aruba on your own?

We're thinking of renting a 4x4 also. Who did you go with and would you mind letting me know what the price was? Also, where will you pick up the rental - at the pier??Thanks!

chilldowns -

We have been to Aruba twice and have rented a jeep both times. Frommers or Fodors has a Port of Call book that provides a self-guided jeep tour for Aruba. It's easy to follow and allows you to see the whole island on your own. I loved being able to stop whenever we wanted to. There is a hamburger stand on your way to the caves that provides a great lunch break. I don't remember the name, but it's the only thing near there to eat.

There is plenty of time to finish up at Baby Beach for snorkeling if you want to. We had to have our jeep back by 4:00 or 5:00. Plenty of time to see the whole island.

Not sure when you are going, but I would strongly recommend getting a jeep with air if you are traveling during the hot summer months.

We are in Aruba for only a half day, is that enough time to get out to the pools that people talk about if we rent a jeep/
