shower curtain track

I have read several complaints about the shower curtain blowing open & drenching the floor & clinging to your body. I have one cruise completed but I found that there is a track attached to the wall in the shower for the shower curtain. Once I stuffed the curtain into it completely, it was attached all the way to the floor. The floor did not get wet & it didn't cling very much to me. I don't understand why housekeeping didn't stuff the curtain into the track. It was very simple & quick for me to do. Problem solved & didn't need any of the clips it was suggested that I bring. I haven't read where anyone else found this easy solution. I can't believe it was only me.

Many ships now have doors....much nicer! But, if that worked for you...kudos!

I don't understand why housekeeping didn't stuff the curtain into the track. It was very simple & quick for me to do...

 

Perhaps it is because they have a dozen cabins to clean and rinsing out the shower is part of that? Doing what you have suggested multiplied by all the cabins eats into that time, and as you said, it took only a moment of your time. :)

 

Personally, if we sail on a ship with a curtain, I will be taking my dollar store shower curtain liner and clothespins with me. It's just what I prefer. :)

Wish when ROS was last refurbished they would have replaced the shower curtains with doors....on the last night of our recent Alaska cruise (May 3oth) the shower curtain ceiling clips broke and 1/4 of it fell down...but I'm sure it was fixed or replaced before the next cruiser's boarded that next day. Oh how I missed our JS tub/shower combo but the trade off was I was able to bring the extended family on this cruise. ;):D

The shower curtain has a seam with a cord inside on the side nearest the wall. There is a track on the wall. It works like a zip lock baggie. Very simple to just start at top (or bottom) & just push it in all the way to the opposite bottom (or top).

PTAngel is correct. I noticed this on Legend of the Seas. It may only be true on some ships. It keeps the shower curtain inside of the shower and keeps the floor dry.

Our shower curtain on the Grandeur had the track which did indeed keep the curtain inside the shower but the curtain still blew in and stuck to us as we tried to shower. I had a plastic clip but never did figure out how to use it to prevent the curtain "attacks."

 

Suggestions would be welcome.
